Heat Exchanger

The heat exchanger offered by Shanghai Empire Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. is a compact and efficient solution for heat transfer between two fluids. It consists of a pack of corrugated metal plates with portholes for the passage of the fluids. The plate pack is assembled between a fix frame plate and a movable pressure plate, which are compressed by tightening bolts. The plates are fitted with a gasket that seals the channels and directs the fluids into alternate channels.

Designed to optimize heat transfer, the corrugated plates provide a large surface area for efficient heat exchange. The plate corrugations promote fluid turbulence and support the plates against differential pressure. The frame plate and pressure plate are suspended from an upper carrying bar and located by a lower guiding bar, ensuring stability and easy maintenance.

Gasketed plate-and-frame heat exchangers (GPHEs) offer efficient heat transfer in a compact equipment with a small footprint. They are much smaller and more efficient than traditional shell-and-tube heat exchangers. With a flexible design, these heat exchangers are easy to service and maintain.
