The heat exchanger from Shanghai Empire Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. is a high-quality product that offers efficient heat transfer in a compact and space-saving design. It consists of a pack of corrugated metal plates with portholes for the passage of two fluids, allowing for optimal heat transfer between them.
The plate pack is assembled between a fix frame plate and a movable pressure plate, which are compressed by tightening bolts. The plates are fitted with a gasket that seals the interpolate channel and directs the fluids into alternate channels. The number of plates is determined by factors such as flow rate, physical properties of the fluids, pressure drop, and temperature program.
The plate corrugations promote fluid turbulence and provide support against differential pressure. The frame plate and pressure plate are suspended from an upper carrying bar and located by a lower guiding bar, both fixed to a support column. Connections are conveniently located in the frame plate for easy access.
Gasketed plate-and-frame heat exchangers (GPHEs) are known for their exceptional heat transfer capabilities.
