Heat Exchanger


The Heat Exchanger is a compact and efficient equipment designed for efficient heat transfer between two fluids. It consists of a pack of corrugated metal plates with portholes for the passage of the fluids. The plate pack is assembled between a fix frame plate and a movable pressure plate, which are compressed by tightening bolts. The plates are fitted with a gasket that seals the channels and directs the fluids into alternate channels.


With its plate corrugations, the Heat Exchanger promotes fluid turbulence and provides support against differential pressure. The frame plate and pressure plate are suspended from an upper carrying bar and located by a lower guiding bar, fixed to a support column. The connections are located in the frame plate, allowing for single or multiple passes of the fluids within the unit.


Gasketed plate-and-frame heat exchangers (GPHEs) offer efficient heat transfer in a compact design, much smaller and more efficient than shell-and-tube heat exchangers. The corrugated plates of the Heat Exchanger provide a large surface area for optimal heat transfer between gases or liquids. The unit is also flexible in design, making it easy to service and maintain.
