Plate Testing


Shanghai Empire Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. offers efficient plate testing solutions to ensure the quality and integrity of your plates.


Corrugation Depth Testing


Our plate testing process begins with the measurement of corrugation depth, also known as the free channel. Using a high-precision micrometer with a digital displayer, we meticulously test 32 sites on each plate. This allows us to accurately assess the depth of the corrugation, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.

To detect cracks in the plates, we employ a simple and efficient method known as dye check. One side of the plate is sprayed with a display agent (white), while the other side is sprayed with a penetrant (red). If the penetrant passes through the plate and the side with the display agent is dyed red, it indicates the presence of a ***. This method allows us to quickly identify any cracks, ensuring the structural integrity of the plates.
