Product Description

Heat Exchanger

A heat exchanger is a crucial component in various industries, designed to facilitate efficient heat transfer between two fluids. The heat exchanger consists of a pack of corrugated metal plates with portholes for the passage of the fluids. It is assembled between a fixed frame plate and a movable pressure plate, which are compressed by tightening bolts. The plates are fitted with a gasket, ensuring a secure seal and directing the fluids into alternate channels.

The number of plates used in the heat exchanger is determined by factors such as flow rate, physical properties of the fluids, pressure drop, and temperature program. The plate corrugations promote fluid turbulence and provide support against differential pressure. The frame plate and pressure plate are suspended from an upper carrying bar and located by a lower guiding bar, both fixed to a support column. Connections are located in the frame plate for multi-pass operations within the unit.
