Product Description


Heat Exchanger


The heat exchanger consists of a pack of corrugated metal plates with portholes for the passage of the two fluids between which heat transfer will take place. It is designed to optimize heat transfer, as the corrugated plates provide a large surface area for efficient heat exchange between gases or liquids. The plate pack is assembled between a fixed frame plate and a movable pressure plate, which are compressed by tightening bolts. The plates are fitted with a gasket that seals the channels and directs the fluids into alternate channels. The number of plates is determined by the flow rate, physical properties of the fluids, pressure drop, and temperature program. The plate corrugations promote fluid turbulence and support the plates against differential pressure. The frame plate and pressure plate are suspended from an upper carrying bar and located by a lower guiding bar, both fixed to a support column. Connections are located in the frame plate, allowing for single or multiple passes of the fluids within the unit.



Efficient Heat Transfer


Gasketed plate-and-frame heat exchangers (GPHEs) provide efficient heat transfer in compact equipment with a small footprint. They are much smaller and more efficient than shell-and-tube heat exchangers. The units have a flexible design and are easy to service and maintain.
