The heat exchanger from Shanghai Empire Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. is a compact and efficient solution for heat transfer between two fluids. It consists of a pack of corrugated metal plates with portholes for the passage of the fluids. The plate pack is assembled between a fixed frame plate and a movable pressure plate, which are compressed by tightening bolts. The plates are fitted with a gasket that seals the channels and directs the fluids into alternate channels.
Designed for optimal heat transfer, the plate corrugations promote fluid turbulence and support the plates against differential pressure. The frame plate and pressure plate are suspended from an upper carrying bar and located by a lower guiding bar, both fixed to a support column.
